오늘은 영어의 기초문법, 접속사(Conjunction)에 대해 설명해보겠습니다.

접속사(Conjunction) 란?

 

접속사의 경우 wh- 로 시작하는 Where, when, which 등이 접속사가 될 수 있으며, 접속사가 존재하는경우 접속사가 수식해주는 문장의 동사, 그외의 동사 총 2개의 동사가 존재해야합니다. 예를들어, I don't know the place which you want to go. 의 문장의 경우, know/want 두 개의 동사가 존재합니다. That과 같이 명사절인 경우에도 접속사로 쓰입니다.

 

 

 

접속사의 문장 내 위치?

시간의 부사 절을 사용할 때, 1. conjunction(접속사) + 주어 + 동사, 주어 + 동사. 2. 주어 + 동사 + conjuction(접속사) + 주어 + 동사.

 

 

Conjunction(접속사)의 종류?

 

- After ex) I'm at home after work. - Before ex) I'm doing my homework before i eat lunch. - When When i get money from work, I want to buy a computer. - Whenever ex) I want to go abroad whenever it's possible. - While / As I'll give lose my patients while doing nothing. - By the time I want eerything done by the time my friend comes back from her vacation. - As long as  We’ll go to the park as long as the weather is nice. - As soon as - Only if - Whether or not - Even if - In case - Useless - Until - Once - Since - Everytime - Although - Even though - Because - If

 

 

접속사, 전치사 두가지 의미를 갖는 단어의 종류 및 동의어

 

1. Although. : 접속사. ~임에도 불구하고   Although 접속사로 쓰일 때, 동의어:  = although, though, even if, even though, notwithunderstaiding   Although 전치사로 쓰일 때, 동의어 :  = despite, in spite of, notwithstanding     2. Because. : 접속사. ~이기 때문에   Because 접속사로 쓰일 때, 동의어 :  = because, since, for, as, now that, seeing that   Because 전치사로 쓰일 때, 동의어 :  = because of, due to, swing to, on account of     3. While. : 접속사. ~하는 동안에   While 접속사로 쓰일 때, 동의어 :  = While While 전치사로 쓰일 때, 동의어 :  = for, during   4. in order that. : 접속사. ~하기 위해서   In order that 접속사로 쓰일 때 동의어 :  = in order that, so that   In order that 전치사로 쓰일 때 동의어 :  = in order to + 동사, so as to + 동사
